Allow someone to have CyanogenMod installed at Koodo Kiosk as a premium service.

I've had people have me flip them up to a new rom, such as CM10 for old phones, but why not do this at the kiosk?

Because it's altering the original programming of the phone and that goes against Koodo's & the manufacturer's policy.

Policy or Warranty? if your phone is past it's 1 year warranty, does it matter? I can cut the tags off my mattress.

Doesn't matter if it's one or the other or both. Koodo will not support rooting or overriding the original programming in any circumstance no matter how long the phone has been active.

Really might want to search the forums, CM has been discussed here many a times

I might say the same for you. Most that post on here are not employed by Koodo. They may provide suggestions on how to get it to run and Koodo may allow discussion, but Koodo will not actively help in rooting or overriding the programming in any fashion.

If you want to do that, by all means, go ahead but don't think Koodo is going to hire someone to root or override the programming when it goes against their policy/warranty.

Please gentlemen, keep it civil and don't start arguments. It's true, Geoff, CM has been discussed many times, many of the participants here are true geeks including me, haha (though I haven't really used it since I sold my Nexus One).

Usually though we refer to places like XDA-developers since these guys are GURUS and know more than any of us put together :)

As for the idea, it's neat but I still think modding should be done in the privacy of our own homes :P The ones that want something like CyanogenMod are usually the ones who are able to find out how to install it themselves :D

Also, in my personal, private, biased opinion, I think it is EVIL to pay (or charge) money for installing mods as the whole point is usually to learn more about our device and the software! :P

Sophia, thought we were civil, but why are the Gurus guys? I know I think my daughter can do anything!

Guys as in "people" as in "Hi guys! How are you guys doing?" Hey I'm a female myself, or so my husband insists :)
