Allow Customers to Pay Off Their Tab

One of the more frequent questions from customers is to how to pay off their Tab. Based on the math, when customers want to upgrade they do not need to pay off their tab as the money would have placed back.

However, with the New Tab M and Tab L these require a monthly Tab contribution. For customers who now have the funds and want to eliminate the monthly Tab contribution charge they should have the option of buying out the phone to bring their Tab to $0

This has been discussed a lot & I don't think it'll be happening, unfortunately.

Can you show me how you would do the math to calculate that because every time I do the end-user ends up paying more than the simple tab charge

The math for when a customer wants an upgrade is as follow

Ex. Tab S is at -$50. They want to upgrade to the $300 Nexus 4. WIth Koodo, that means you would top out the Tab S at -$150 for the remaining cost of the phone being $200.

Now if they Paid out the Tab S: They would pay $50 to bring the Tab to $0. They get a new Tab S which tops out at -$150. They pay the remaining $150. $50 + $150 = $200 out of pocket

So in both cases the same $200 is paid out of pocket

Dennis, I was asking in regards to the Tab M and Tab L "tab cancellation".

I already know what you just said and that example is of Tab S, which isn't the problem.

$300 Tab M being cancelled after 6 months of service on $50 plan; show me the math and how its beneficial.

Hey Dennis,

You're now able to pay off your tab earlier. The easiest way is to go to Self Serve. If you haven't received a CEO badge yet, it's on its way :)
