Alarm clock while in airplane mode?

I have a BBQ10. I'm going on an Alaskan Cruise and will be travelling from Ontario, through several states, Vancouver and then obviously Alaska. I do not want to turn my phone on as I don't want work calling me, but I would like to still use my alarm.
Will my clock still work, even if my phone is in airplane mode? With the time changes and eveything?

You won't get network time updates unless your wifi signal picks up the correct time from the router.

Best bet is to make the conversions in your head and set the alarm appropriately.

Turn off the network update

I find it helps me to stay on my home time and adjust my schedule accordongly.

The clock will still work, however I am unsure if the times will update with the time zone that you would be in with airplane mode on.

Would I be able to still connect to WIFI if I removed my SIM card and left it at my house?

Yup. The sim card just allows the phone to connect to the cellular network. You should still be able to connect to wifi.
