airtime minutes warning?

I was shocked this morning when I saw that I apparently exceeded my monthly airtime minutes, as this has never happened before in my four years as a Koodo customer.  I normally have 500 airtime minutes included (over and above any evening and weekend minutes), but it looks like I am being charged for 124 additional minutes (calls were within Canada), most of them on the very last day of my billing cycle (24th) which I always thought was the start date of the new cycle.  Can these excess minutes be transferred to my next bill?  Why can't Koodo provide an 'airtime minutes warning' like you do for data usage, so that I could have avoided these hefty extra airtime charges?

Unfortunately no carrier provides any air time overage warnings (the CTRC wireless code did not include this in their code of conduct and thus is not a requirement).

It is very unlikely that the excess minutes can be transferred to your next bill as it has already been billed and Koodo's systems wouldnt be sophisticated enough to move minutes.
