I have no way to remember my password and cannot retrive it also. If I factory reset my Galaxy Ace 2.x, what will still work after that and what will not? I mean will the phone still work ok after that with the correct plan applied or do I need to contact koodo for it to work gain ?
Thank you

hmm previous post didn't stick.. yes, it will be as good as new. no difference to Koodo, nothing to do there, just a brand new software with no locks.... just like you just pulled it out of the box (except this time it probably has some scratches and scuff marks :-)

I probably don't have the right info to hard reset it because vol+/home/power doesn't work. What is the right way to hard reset a Galaxy Ace 2 ST-G7560m ?

Press hold the middle of the vol+/vol- button, same for the home button, then press and hold the power button. As soon as you see the "Galaxy Ace 2 ST-G7560m" come up in black and white, let go of all the buttons.

Best way to do this is to turn your phone off and take the back cover off your Ace 2x and remove and re-insert battery. Leave the battery door off for now until you get into the Android system recovery menu. If you run into problems, you can quickly remove and re-install the battery and start over. Make sure the battery has at least a 70% charge or higher.

Do this in the following order.

Place your right thumb on Home button, press and hold, use your left thumb to find the 'middle' of the Volume up and down buttons, press and hold. You will feel the two volume up/down micro switches clicking, it's just a matter of positioning your thumb so that both switches are pressed in. Last but not least, use your left index finger to press and hold the Power button.

Press and hold the above combination of buttons until you see the white Galaxy Ace 2 ST-G7560M logo. Let go of the Power button, but continue to press and hold the Home and Volume up/down buttons until you see the Android robot with a rotating octagonal shape, at this point you can let go of the Home and Volume up/down buttons. The Android recovery system menu will appear a few seconds later, in blue text.

Scroll down to 'wipe data/factory reset', use the Volume up/down keys to scroll up or down and use the Power button to select. You will be taken to a second menu to confirm you want to perform the wipe data/factory reset. Scroll down to 'delete all user data' and select using the Power button.

Let the Ace 2x do its thing. When it completes, you may be prompted to 'reboot system now' simply press the Power button to reboot. That's it. Your Ace 2x is factory reset.
