I need to unlock the SIM card on my old phone so I can replace it with another when I arrive in Spain. Everything on my account is related to my new phone. Help!

My old phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace Model GT-S5830D and has been disabled since June 5, 2014 when I bought my new Samsung Galaxy S4. Everything on my account is now related to my new phone and I do not want to make any changes to it.

I phoned Koodo, but their automated system does not address this issue.

Thank you to staff at Westbrook Mall in Calgary and a lovely voice on the other end of the phone, my SIM card is unlocked.
