On sept 17 evening I got a notification from Koodo that it was a good idea to add an extra 1GB to my plan cause I was using so much. So I topped up. Then the next morning that data expired. Koodo put my under the impression that this data was either 1) going to be applied to my next cycle and/or 2) I was actually changing my plan.

Can you please give me back the 1GB I already paid for? I think it's obvious that no one would ever pay for 1GB of data which is going to completely expire in 4 hours unless it was misleading.

Was the notification by text message? Can you post a copy here?

I think it was a page similar to this. It happened when I went on the web on my phone. It would auto load this page.

Did you happen to add it juste before the end of the billing cycle?

So the important part of this is:

If your billing period was to end a short time later (days or hours) then the purchase expires at the end of the billing period. You can ask Koodo if they can offer an adjustment, but the language in the image you posted is very clear.

Hey Mark,

It is hard to believe but some users can blow 1 GB of data in no time. They cannot imagine not having data for even few hours. Koodo came to their rescue through so called top-up but only if you totally run out of your data. If you need to use that option at the and of your billing cycle it could be very costly. But it is a fair game. Some folks that need desperately data once a while are satisfied and Koodo is satisfied with such a good financial return on 1GB of data.

Are you sure the top up data expired on not the data on that was part of your plan prior to that?
