add ons not working

I added 30all to my plan to cover me whils in the US and all worked well till yesterday. I am not unable to text or call and I have 3 bars. any suggestions?

Are you connected to T-Mobile or AT&T?

Have you tried to pull the sim and battery out for a few mins and try again?

All it says is R for romaning I guess. No I have not pulled the battery or sim card and should i do this. Why would this work when all worked a couple of days ago. I am missing a lot of texts from family.
How do I tell what conection I am on.

Yes try it.

Usually it says the carrier next to your signal bars.

Also try Settings > More, More settings, or Mobile data >Choose Network operators or Mobile networks > Network operators. Turn off Automatic and try to mannually select AT&T or T-Mobile
