activate my prepaid sim

I got the new prepaid SIM from Walmart today and been trying since last 2 hrs to activate.. it goes to the second step and asks me to choose locar number(area code) but the drop down list is empty and won't allow me to select anything .. so stuck in midway.. tried using IE, chrome, mozill,,, same problem with all of them.. any help would be appreciated.. thanks

Oh it seems a small percentage of customers encounters this, Jignesh. You can contact Koodo via Facebook to active a number for you, or call their toll free number from another phone to activate. After that you should be able to change your number in self service yourself :)

I tried calling customer care and they want to charge $15 for activation.. saying the website is working.. you are doing something wrong.. Even I agreed to pay that from my activation bonus.. but he insisted that I should also pay for base plan to activate the sim.. As I have just $20 as bonus credit, I need to go and buy a voucher to do that.. I requested if he can activate my sim and self serve account I could pay for base plan using my credit card on selfserve.. but he refused to do that..

worst response ever for a new customer..

I agree with you, because I can definitely confirm that you are not the first one to report this problem. Try to contact them on Facebook private message and refer to this thread, of course I can't make any promises (I am not an employee) but I'd be surprised if they didn't help you considering you tried all these options!

Oh I would suggest that before you contact them, you post a screenshot here with the missing numbers as proof it's not you :)

I tried calling 1-647-788-3948  ( found from another thread) and they activated my phone without any issues.. thanks for all your inputs Sophia.. :)
