My email account has been hacked and I want to change my email and user name with Koodo without them sending me email to confirm because this person has my email. Is it possible

Can you change your email password or no?

Yes it is - talk to customer service

Tell them that you want to change your email account address on self serve. This way they can go in and change your account. Once your account is changed then you can change your password on that account to whatever you like.

To be on the safe side, you will probably want to change not only all of koodo's passwords (after you have changed the self serve information), but if you are afraid that they have hacked any other account of yours, change user names and passwords as well, and possible account numbers (ie. if you had direct debit set up through your self serve account)

This has happened to way too many people lately so keep in mind that if you use Gmail with the Google Authenticator smartphone application which gives you a new password every thirty seconds your email is then unhackable. It isn't as inconvenient as it sounds, as on your own personal computer you can tell it to ask for the one time password only once every thirty days and all the many ways that email accounts get hacked are foiled (capturing the password off the air on Wifi, keystroke loggers, someone looking over your shoulder, too simple a password, etc.)

The only impact is you have to take out your phone once every thirty days get logged into your email (or whenever you use different computer than you normally do) and what if you loose your phone? You can print a list of 10 passwords that will work (once) and keep it in your wallet.

Of course if you have your own custom domain name and matching email address, Google Apps for Business is the best way to do email and no one will ever know you are using Gmail as it is your own domain name. Benefits too numerous to list them all here but best of all you can say goodbye to spam!

Over use of recreational drugs might explain it.

Wait...what in the hell is van going on about here? Dave provided a great answer your your issue. Call in to Koodo CS and they can help you out.

Keep in mind this forum is used (mostly) by other Koodo Customers, (and the rare Koodo employee). I wouldn't reccomend using this forum as a "direct line" to Koodo support at all, since this is a community forum
