Account Holder Issues

I want to switch my active number to Koodo when my plan runs up with Rogers. When I first got the plan with them I was underage so my mum had to be the account holder. If her and I came in to would it be possible to move the number to Koodo then transfer the account to me? I really don't want to loose my number, but I'm an adult now and would really like the phone in my name. Rogers told me I could switch to account holder when I reached the age of majority, but when I tried they wasted my time just to tell me I would have to sign another contract with them.

Hi Katie,

You both can go to your nearest Koodo kiosk or retailer and you can port your number over to Koodo, be sure to have the account number from Rogers as well be sure that the account is active when doing so (not saying it isn't but it is a requirement when porting). If you're looking to getting a postpaid (monthly plan) account then you will be required to have the following items when signing up for service and getting a new phone (if that is what your plan is):

Hope that helps :)

So as long as we're both there they should be able to put the account in my name?

If you're the age of majority then yes, you will be the account holder when you sign up for your own account.
