Koodo added data to a blocked line without my permission and the customer service is an hour wait. How is it legal for them to do it and make me sit for an hour or more to fix it?

@Lisa: I saw several people reporting that they had the data for free. It was like a bonus. Have you checked if there was a cost to it?
You could also send message to their facebook ( to avoid the wait on phone. It is not a live chat but they will comeback to you.

Says free for 2 months. Will it be chargeable October 1st or cancelled?

The message says 'This special add-on will drop off your account on 2018-09-30 without any charge'.  I'm guessing they are offering the promotion to those without data plans, you'll use the data for the two months and you'll like it then you'll upgrade to a plan that has data.  There's always a method to the marketing. :)

Check your account online.  They're running a free promotion, 1GB of data no charge, valid for 60 days, drops off automatically.  Should say $0 beside the add on.

Hi Lisa!

If the line you are referring to has a data block, then even if data was added, you wont be able to use it unless data block is removed.

Check your self serve account for more details, if this is an option you do not want, you can always remove it from your account online!
That's the thing I have been paying the family plan with data block (costs extra to block data, like seriously? )

A message was sent to the line inviting them to disable the data block with a text to accept the offer.

They did not text back. The offer shows on my acct. I was under the impression i was paying to block data from that line and if it can be disabled with a text without the permission of the main plan holder.. what the heck am I paying for??

Data block is put out there as a way to prevent overage but if your kid can.disable it what is the point?

I thought the data block can only be removed by the account holder. As per the FAQ below it seems any line on the account can remove it as long as they have permission to do so on the account. It then has to be added again once the promo is over.
