Hi there. I have recently moved to London, England and need to cancel my service. I don't have access to a telephone so I can't call in. What can I do to cancel online? Please don't tell me that there's no way to cancel except to call in. I'm looking for a creative solution that doesn't involve a pay phone!

Send Koodo a message thru Facebook or Twitter using the logos at the bottom of this page with your account details. Make sure to mention that you are overseas.

You could call their toll-free number using Skype and a wifi connection as well.

Yeah this is absolutely insane... My girlfriend was able to cancel her account easily over Facebook. I guess the person who took my message has a stick up their butt and absolutely refused to cancel my account this way. So yeah, just had to go and buy Skype call credits just so I can cancel with you idiots. Well done. Get with the times.

You could have used a free voip service instead of paying on skype. Then that rep was sorely mistaken. Especially since your girlfriend had no issues.

That's not exactly a reason to demand Koodo "get with the times" when it's a single rep that refused to follow company rules to customer detriment.

Says the person insulting an entire organization for one rep.

Disappointed to hear about your experience Scott. Our policy hasn't changed - we do in fact help close accounts for individuals that have already left the country, via social. Looking into this now, and will have someone get in touch with you to process the cancellation.

Do note that you have to let them know you are out of the country and have no means of calling to cancel because regular policy doesnt allow you to cancel via facebook.

Yeah I did all of those things exactly and still had no luck.

Thanks Ranjan/Allan, but it's too late. I got some Skype call credit and spent 25 minutes on hold waiting to cancel and finally got it done.

Goran, why are you even here? The fact that other people have posted on these forums saying it's possible suggests it's not just one rep. Go home.

Saying what's possible? I'm well aware that you are supposed to be able to cancel when out of country over Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM. I'm saying that one rep who said you cannot was wrong and then you went and said I'm being patronizing after you came out here swinging over the wrong actions of a single rep.

Try not being a giant douche. You've been getting help despite that. Which you ought to be very thankful for. Adieu sirrah.
