My Nexus 4 just did the 5.1.1 upgrade and when the update finished it turned on my data without me realizing. I caught it before it was over 1 mb of data used (it was like 78 kb), but I currently do not have a plan that offers data usage. Will I get a service charge? Also is there a data block service option? I'm with koodo on their $29/month plan with 100mins.

Yes you will be charged a small fee for data usage :( However call customer care and explain the issue and they will add a data block and help you with that charge, Koodo's customer care is very helpful when it comes to small accidents like those :) This happens to even the best of us

I just called the *611 number and apparently with my plan there is a 250kb allowance before a charge on the account so it looks like I am in the clear. Just in case I did make sure my data is blocked from now on as well.
