If you're asking what you need in order to open a new account. You need two pieces of government issued ID, with at least one being a photo ID. For example, drivers license, passport, sin card, canadian credit card, etc. A credt check will be run and if approved, you'll be able to open an account and add phone lines.

Thanks Ahmad...I kind of assumed Id need various ID...I was more concerned that a credit card would be needed in order to secure the account. There are no issues with my credit ratings. Brings up an interesting question though..my wife, who is a Permanent Resident, has only one Canadian Government issued ID..She will also be joining the Koodo crew...will they accept a foreign government passport as ID...She has established a good credit rating,in her case will they need a credit card ?

Yes recently Koodo has started taking international passports.
As long as they are not expired.
That's good for a photo piece.
The credit check ID has to be either a Social insurance number, Drivers License, or Credit Card
