A question about Prepaid Top Up

I have a prepaid koodo phone that needed to be topped up on jan 15. I was away for a bit so I didnt top it up at that time. If I were to top it up right now, do I have to 'settle' the time during which I didn't have my phone service, or will a payment from today be counted for the next 30 days and nothing needs to be done about the inactive time ?

your 30 days starts from the time you buy your Base plan again. Since you missed keeping payments going then you've lost any boosters you had rolling over, if you did.

Sorry Kid, missed your post... I think this forum is a bit slow sometimes because I thought nobody had answered yet!

If your boosters have not expired and your number is still active, you can just top up and continue from whenever you top up (so you don't have to pay for "lost time"). I think you might have lost your boosters though... not sure since it hasn't happened to me yet (I'm prepaid too) :)

I know... it wasn't there yet. I blame it on the time zones :D That, or the fact our Internet is so slow ;)

oh Geez just read what I put and it sounds even worse than I thought lol
Oh cool thanks! Well it says the account will be made 'inactive' on April so I suppose I still have my boosters. I mostly just needed to know whether I would have to cough up for the time I didn't use the phone [which would be incredibly consumer unfriendly if that was the case]. But apparently it's not :) Thanks again!

my underststanding is that you have 90 days without a base plan before you lose your boosters. your acct is also deactivated and you lose your number.

quoting this from the help faqs

Do top-ups expire?

We try to keep things simple by erasing the need to track too many dates. It's a hassle. So Koodo top-ups do not expire.

Do keep in mind though that if you’ve are without a base plan for 90 days, your account will be deactivated and you’ll lose your phone number and any funds remaining on your account balance, including your boosters.

Makes sense! Thanks Trevor! That's useful information for both of us :D
