A great and helpful community!

I have to admit, I've only been here almost two weeks, and while in my short time I've been able to do a little, having less time the past couple days and being able to watch the community in action from a bit of a distance, it's been great to see the number of people pitching in to answer questions, and the number of quality folks here that really know their stuff.

I've enjoyed reading many responses as much as I've enjoyed contributing, because there's always something to learn here from the community. I love doing lots of reading on my passions, one of which includes Android, but I've gleaned tons of new info from Kid Android, Tim, the MMs, and many others here that share a passion, and who have been using Android for longer (not to mention having experience with newer versions).

From cellphone tech to OS to Koodo services themselves, the community seems very well rounded and a great place to watch and learn. I'm happy to have come to be a part of it, and hope I'm able to maintain at least a minimal presence when things get busy again.

Same here. I think I'm even newer than you, and it's been a blast so far too! Great experience, and can't wait to be more involved.

Glad to have taught you a couple things that's why I'm here lol. Your very enthusiastic & if you love reading up on Android I'm sure you'll be teaching me a thing or two in no time.

I'll see what I can do, lol. Not going to get any hands on experience on Android 4.0+ until I upgrade or get a tablet though. :(

Although I do get a bit every time I visit Future Shop... lol

Android sucked a lot pre-4.0. Now I quite like it. Not my favourite OS, but a capable one nonetheless.

Even pre-4.0 I'd rather use Android than be locked into Apple's concept of what's good for me. As someone that didn't have a smartphone before, I thought it was great (and still do - I just need more internal memory, which I should be able to cure with a root and link2sd and a better SD Card). I like the extended abilities of Android, and when my Apple friends sent me piles of "You will assimilate!" messages, I simply built an app in App Inventor which allowed me to text them random Apple insults directly at the press of a single button. They soon stopped seeing the power of customized Android spam, lol. The fact I can built me own app so easily in about an hour without paying any developing costs is great for a guy like me that likes to tinker in programming. :) Apples wants $100/year to consider my programs, Google wants $25 to register for life. I know who I'd rather pay to start programming initially from a cost perspective, at least until i find out if apps I make are popular.

I quite like participating on these boards. I did it for WIND as well (before they shut them down), but this community is much better rounded. There were far too many trolls on the WIND one.

I share the sentiment, Iglooman. When I arrived at this forum, I never intended to stay. I just wanted to say how much I like the rollover data... and I started participating. I thought this would probably be some Koodo bashing vs fanboi place like some other tech forums I visited... but there is very, very little of either.
So, here I am too, I stayed and enjoying it :D
