4 months ago, I signed up for pre-authorized billing. Why does Koodo still email me each month telling me to pay my bill by a certain date?

It's still gives a date of when the bill is due nomatter if your on preauthorized payments or not.

Sometimes pre-authorized payments dont work, your card can expire, etc.
I'd say it's to stop those people from saying "hey, my card expired but Koodo didnt tell me to pay my bill so it's not my fault and my services shouldnt have been cancelled".

it's just a billing notification.  If you want to turn that off, you can change your notification settings in Self Serve

You need to go in to Self Serve > Billing > Bill notifications.

@MKD, you are indeed set and bills are paid. As per some of the other customers here what you are receiving is simply a heads up notification.
