I am interested in adding my wife to my koodo plan and upgrading my plan for more data, is this possible? paying for 2 separate lines just so you each get 1gb of data is 110$ plus tax a month(not including tab). if that is my only option then somewhere that offers a shareable data family plan would be a cheaper option and i would get more data. i hope this is possible because i've been with koodo for 8 years and they have always had good pricing.

No unfortunately it's not possible you can't share plans between phones you need a separate line with a separate plan for each phone.
With koodo you do enjoy free calling between lines on the same account however.

everyone with a koodo plan gets free calling and text with their plan unless your pre-paid. thats not really a bonus.

No actually many plans have alloted minutes and are not unlimited (ie.500 minutes included) . However if you both have plans with unlimited minutes then yes its not a bonus.

I believe Telus offers data buckets for multiple members (last time I checked anyways) on the account but all lines on that account still need their own plan it's only the data that is shared. Still Koodo is cheaper with two plans containing their own data in most cases.

Rogers and Bell do offer "family" plans with shareable data but they do end up being more expensive overall. It is advantageous if you're at least 4 people.

The Little 3 (Koodo, Virgin, Fido) do not offer family sharing plans.  Only the Big 3 (Telus, Bell, Rogers) offer these.  Be sure to carefully compare costs before you decide to switch
