2 phone plan. One person has died. what can I do with the phone? get out of contract?

I have 2 phones on my plan. One for my brother and one for myself. My brother has been in a fatal car accident. Is Koodo able to do anything to help me get out of my contract?

Ooohhh I'm so sorry that happened. That's terrible.

As for your brothers phone, yes, I believe there is. I don't have any experience with this despite working wireless for a few years, but one of my colleagues who worked at Rogers said people would bring in the death certificate and then they would call customer service to write off the account.

First off very sorry for your loss, I lost my friend that was like a brother to me on the weekend as well and it's not easy to deal with so I'm sure Koodo will make the cancellation process as easy as they possibly can.
So if the account is under your name simply call customer service and tell them you'd like to close the one line on your account. You'll have to pay off any amount owing for service up until then and if the line had a tab balance owing you may have to pay that as well. Give them a call and just explain the situation and I'm sure they'll do their best to help you out.
