Agreed with Robert. Everytime I saw a French post, members replied to it without giving it much afterthought, which led me to believe many forum users are indeed bilingual, or at least good enough in French to respond. Being a French Canadian myself, I don't see the need for a separate French section because of this.

Kid you can just do what I do, use Google Translate to get the jist of it ;)

I know at least one of the other mobile masters understands French, not saying that the quota is full or anything, but there isn't a void either.

I have to agree.we get a lot of english, more so than french. It'd be nice to at keast see some bilingual menus in getsat. It would encourage ppl to post in the language in which they are proficient.

There definitely isn't enough french questions coming in to warrant a separate section. I've been on here for like 6 months & only seen probably 10 questions in french in that time. A few of the mobile masters are always there to answer the French questions always & so are the employees.

why you don't need to know much English to get to asking a question, & I've never met any french person in Canada that can't read English at all. They have to be able to, to get around this country & I'm sure there aren't many that haven't ever left the province at all.

I've seen more other nationalities on here asking questions in bad English so I'm sure some french ppl that live in a English speaking country can figure it out just fine.

@Kid: I agree with you wholeheartedly, but on one point: I was born in QC and spent 95% of my life here, but I'd venture to say as much as 90% of all Quebecers have never left the province in their lives. In rural Quebec, don't expect to find people who speak English and/or have gone to other countries. Heck, many Montrealers have never left the city at all! Can you believe that?

But I agree with you for everything else!

There is already a french website, we get our bills in french, the android app is in french also, what is the big deal of me saying that to be able to reach this great market that are the francophones of Canada it would be a great idea to have a section or a tab in french...

Besides, of course if you ask what anglophones of Canada think about making a french version of something, they will answer you, not worth it, y'all should just learn english. The americans do the same thing with the latinos in their country. But to come and tell me that it is not worth making a french section because there is not enough french people in an english forum is like saying, right now, I see no chinese therefore the chinese do not exist. Enough with this sophistry Kid.

I just like it that way, with both French and English people at the same place, so I can answer in English and in French whenever I want.

It could be said that when a francophone comes here there IS no french so tgerefore it's intimidating to even bother asking in french or feel silly using limited english skills. My french is horrendous, I can barely speak but I can read and get the gist of it. I know koodo hires out to getsat so it would be up to getsat to do the bilingual wording. That will be quite a task.

I definitely don't see this as something to expect in the near future (or maybe even distant). Just my opinion when I think about it rationally.

I'll admit that spending the last 15 years browsing forums have made me pretty much functional in English (whether we like it or not, it's the international standard), so it's a win-win for everyone. People spending 5 minutes translating their own questions in English will be beneficial for them in the end.

Horrible, I know. Had to use Google Translate to help me with that while my wife's at work, lol.

But, yes. I fully support the idea for dedicated Francophone support, but I don't know if Koodo can offer that without an additional Get Satisfaction account. I don't know what options GS offers Koodo.

Nobody should feel intimidated.

I'm sure we have people here that are fluent in other than just our two official languages.

If someone's visiting Canada (or has just moved here) and has a question about Koodo in Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian, I'll answer.

Just to add my 2 cents, you can get a browser addon that will autoamtically translate from English to French.
