Yes, if your call will be received while you are in a foreign country.

But if you only anticipate one or two calls or texts, you can roam at pay-per-use rather than the $7 or $10 EasyRoam daily rate if that's a concern. Just make sure you have international roaming enabled on your account.

If I enable it don't I automatically get charged the $7 if I get any call at all?  I thought I saw someone say that. I am only going to get one call and will need to have my phone on for about an hour to wait for the call. Am I charged for roaming by the minute?  And how do I know how much I'm charged per call. $7 isn't that much but seems a lot for just one call.

If you have easy roam on your account then you are charged $7 on the first use (answering or making a call, sending a text, using data) and then can use your canadian plan as normal for 24 hours.

If you dont have easy roam its $0.50/min.

If you have easy roam on the account you will be charged $7 for using any minutes or data, or for sending any text messages. If you remove easy roam, you will be charged pay per use rates, which would be $1.50/minute in the U.S.A. The free international fee roaming add on is NOT required to use the phone in the States.

If u don't want to incur roaming fee unnecessarily, make sure you data is off and don't make or take any calls and don't send any texts until you are ready
