If this is the  same plan I had at PM. Why charged $2.00 when this service was free at PM. During the Porting process last week, some data was used before I got my phone back and was charged $5.00.  Now I go to Self Serve to add the $2.00 add on to protect myself. I can't. Message. " Plan is not eligible to be changed at this time." It is as if you want us to unknowingly use data, to be charged.  I was told I would pay the $5.00 charged on my first bill for less than 2mb of data and I would get a credit later. Not right.  You promised the same plan I has with PM and I should get the same service.

Koodo may be having some teething pains with this aspect of the offer, as they did with call forwarding. If you approach it respectfully, and provide details in reasonable manner, I am sure they will address it not only for you, but all Public Mobile switchers.

David ,  In what way was my post not  Respectful and reasonable ? Same plan and price should be guaranteed without charging more for the service I had before.

You don't need this add on. Simply change the APN type on your phone to MMS only.

Hey Sam!

That's a very interesting suggestion, but it doesn't necessarily work with all handsets.

We ran a few test and the thing is that for phones that actually do have editable APN settings, there's always the risk that it reverts back to the previous settings without notice.

So if you're able to make this work, we suggest to always keep a eye on your settings to make sure you're not using data!
