I have an old plan ($15 a month) with koodo, they are offering me a new LG phone for free, my tab balance is +12, will I be paying $10 a month extra if I get this phone?

If you can keep your current plan and it's tab small then yes it'll be an additional 10 dollars a month.

Is there a chance I would not be able to keep my plan?  It is a Tab S.

What does your offer say?  Which LG phone?
If your offer said $0 on Tab M for example, then you need to change your current plan...

  • You'll pay $0.00 for your phone and put the rest ($227.59) on your Tab.

  • Pay a $10 monthly Tab charge for 22 months plus $7 to make your Tab balance zero, and then you'll only pay your monthly plan charge.

  • Plans start from $28/month

  • That plans start at $28 concerns me  (LG G4)

If you are a new customer, then minimum $28 is the requirement.
But you are an existence customer, so you should be able to keep your plan unless they changed their rule.

Ah then in that case you'll be expected I assume to switch to a plan that's 28 or more. If you look at plan breakdowns by tab qualifications small is currently 28 and medium 40.

And thinking of equivalent that's 13 + 10 a month more, coming to 536 dollars spent over the two years. You'd be better off just buying a phone yourself for less than that if you would rather keep your current plan.
