why can't i change my plan for one of the new ones ?

Most common reason is you still hav a tab balance from the old tab system. You'll need to login to self serve and pay off yo tab to b eligible for the new plans.
actually my current tab is +75$

Are you getting an error message at all when you try to change it?
yes those are the possible reasons : 
  • You have not been with Koodo for at least 3 months
  • You have not yet paid off your first bill
  • You are on the spending limit program
But i have been with koodo for years .. and paid my bills..

  • Yes there is a few post about that here. It seems like an error, koodo really should fix it.

    Sounds like it goes away when you logout and login. That's what some were saying here.

  • If you are sure that you meet the criteria of the 3 reasons that you outlined above, then call Koodo's customer service at *611 from your mobile phone. Explain to them the error you are getting and they will help you get it done by either giving you some instructions to try or by doing it themselves. There will not be a charge for this.
