What methods can I use to buy a phone?

I currently have a month by month plan with Koodo (I did the bring your own phone deal), however I was looking to purchase the IPhone SE from Koodo. I am not the holder of the phone as I am underage but the payments go through my bank account as I do not have a credit card. Neither do my parents. Do we need to have a credit card to buy the Iphone SE? If there not another method?

You can buy the iPhone SE at a koodo kiosk with cash. You will have to pay full price to keep your plan I believe or if you qualify for a tab you will have to choose a new tab plan

If she's to pay the full price in cash/debit, she might as well buy from the Apple Store, if one is available to her, considering that she'd get an unlocked phone that way for the same price (or slightly less).

Completely agree Ivan, she just asked how she buys it from Koodo so I answered that specifically but you are correct.

IF you were to buy an iPhone 5SE from Apple, it is $50.00 cheaper, as Apple charges a stocking fee to each carrier.

Hi Marissa,

As Paul mentioned, it is best if you come to a Koodo Shop. Please make sure you bring the account owner with you if you decide to go through this route of purchasing the iPhone SE. The store rep will be able to see if you are approved on Tab360 or Tab500. But if you prefer to keep the same rate plan, you will have to choose the Tab360 and keep in mind there will be an extra 15/month for 24 months.

You can either accept the $15/month over 24months on top of your rate plan, or if you would like to lower monthly costs, Koodo's flexible tab will allow you to put down more money in-store.
For example:
$360/24mth = [b]$15/mth
or pay [b]$120 in-store:
$240/24mth =[b] $10/mth

Yeah it is possible but rarely anyone actually want to use just a portion of the Tab if they know they can go to a full 360 and keep their plan as there is no interest of using the Tab. In fact, if Marissa decided to purchase the phone with a $120 Tab, she may as well buy the phone from the Apple Store as Ivan mentioned and bring it over to Koodo because it is a little cheaper to buy the iPhone SE outright there and already unlocked.

If I can't pay the full amount but I can pay the tab with cash/debit visa then am I okay? Like I saw the offers they have with tab

Hi Marissa, Unfortunately we can't open your account in the community to see what Tab you're entitled to. You can, however, go to Koodo Mobile Self Serve, click Koodo tab and see what you are approved for. Or if you are around a Koodo shop, I'd recommend giving them a visit with the account owner.
