What is a tab and how does it work?

Well, the Tab is basically a floating loan on a device. Koodo takes either up to -150 (Tab S), -300 (Tab M) or -500 (Tab L) off the retail price of your phone. Then you pick the plan you want. You can take any of the "regular" plans with Tab S, same thing with Tab M but there's a $5 charge to help pay off the subsidy. Tab L has expensive plans attached to it that cost you way more than the $200 you initially saved. The Tab is paid off each month by Koodo contributing an automatic 15% of your plan, any Tab charges you contribute, and then they'll adjust the remaining amount to ensure your Tab is paid off in 24 months.
