voicemail confusion ?

I just signed up with a $15 base plan and it says it includes call display and voicemail, I received a notification saying that I have a new voicemail but when I try and check it it says that I do not have an active booster. do I need to buy minutes on top of my base plan to be able to access my voicemail and receive phone calls ?

Calling your voicemail is still a call and will use minutes. Try calling your cell from a land line and press * to get to your voicemail login

Just buy the $25 voice booster. Best value at 5 cents/minute Canada-wide.

And remember boosters don't expire as long as you keep renewing your baseplan. So if you're not one that makes a lot of calls, that could last you a while.
