There's a bad taste in my mouth...

So this morning I waited outside future shop for the new Iphone 6... My first disapointment was that there was no 64gb on Koodo (Kinda expected this) .. secondly being I could have it right away with any other carrier but I needed to wait for a Koodo shipment... not cool. I understand that Koodo is a "value" brand but what about Virgin or Fido? they are in the same boat and had info shortly after the annocement and phones ready this morning. Koodo left users waiting until release day! If it wasn't for my Tab balance of $150 and my plan I would be jumping ship. Technology is important to me and something I take into consideration when choosing a provider. I think Koodo ignored the many request on here for 64gb option and just basic information on availablity/ Plans. Kinda disapointed by the fact I'm held back by my provider, but I am sure that will change once I have my new phone in hand. Just something to think about when the next version of the phone comes out ( in a few months with my luck)

Hey Erin, Sorry to hear about this, but there are other retailers, not just future shop, you can go right to a koodo kiosk or walmart and get one(I'm sorry if furture is the only place that provides koodo in your city). They are limited we only got 2 in. You can call around and ask the retailers if they have any and would it be possible to put your name on it and come pick it up.
Yea future shop was the place to go because it is right by my work and opened early for the release today, so no missed work. regardless of a kiosk or store Koodo is the only one without phones... if your name is on it (koodo) than it representive of the service of the company

No, I don't think that's true. When I worked for Mobile Shop we had issues getting the iPhone 5S on Rogers/Fido for almost a month after release more than Koodo stock. We had a black one sitting around for days before selling it. I think it's just the particular situation you were in. 1. Keep in mind 4 million people pre ordered the phone so Apple caters to them first. 2. It's on allocation. I need to keep reminding people of this. Stores cannot just order whatever they feel like. Apple actually tells the carrier how many they are getting at launch and they have to split that up between their dealer stores across Canada and then retailers too. Higher volume stores get priority so that's why managers get pressure to sell more activations to get higher allocations on major phone launches.
its not a matter of how many- its having it on launch day and even the slightest bit of info before hand to help the consumer make an informed decision

I got mine 4 hours after opening from a Koodo kiosk. Many still have stock. Not to mention that Koodo has a $100 off the retail price when getting it on Tab M. A $100 discount on an iPhone on launch day is unheard of.

"How many" and "having some at launch" go hand in hand. Some stores literally don't get any for launch and the store can't do anything about it except beg head office. We didn't have any Virgin iPhone 5Ss at launch but we had some for Bell, Telus, and Koodo. That's how it is for any major smartphone release - sometimes you have to wait.

I mean like two or three would be different then none. when i called customer service they said all the stores should have recieved the first order... sad. but like you said 1'll have to wait. What is this $100 off offer?

On Tab M, there's a bonus $100 discount off the price you'd normally pay, which is unheard of at launch, ESPECIALLY on iPhones.

Tab M gives you $300 off retail price, then if you have positive Tab that gives you additional credit. The $100 credit is for Tab M use, so its retail -300, - extra 100, - your positive Tab build up.
