Stopping koodo service to 0$

Hi, I just moved to seoul in south korea and would like my payments to koodo to stop obviously but the lowest "plan" is 15$, how do I make it so it's 0$ per month? I've seen people say call 611, but the long distance from seoul would be too much, so please how do I cancel in the self-serve or by email? My tab is full and I owe nothing. Oh and is there a way to keep my tab full for when I come back in about 2 years? Thanks.

Hey, unfortunately if you really want to keep your number is $15 a month....otherwise you can probably call them to cancel via Hangout/Skype which should be free or close to free

Hi Etienne, There is another possibility and that is to port your number to FreePhoneLine, Fongo or even 7-11 Speakout (but obviously you'd need a SIM card). None of these are completely free, but in the case of FPL or Fongo it is only a one time fee or (I believe) $25. Speakout would cost you $25 per year. You can't keep the $15 Koodo seasonal plan for longer than 6 months anyway, after that it will automatically change to the cheapest (currently $30) plan again, so that is probably not an option anyway.

You can try to port your Koodo number to CallCentric if that number is important to you. http://www.callcentric.com/dids/pay_per_minute $2 a month and use their service to forward your calls to any other North American number. While you are away, get those calls dumped to voice mail automatically if you want. Do not cancel Koodo till your number is ported. When you come back, change your CallCentric settings to forward your calls to your "newly refreshed" cell number and/or landline. Not sure what you mean by tab being "full". If your balance is + $, you may well lose it by cancelling. Send Koodo an email regarding the tab. They have been helpful in the past, but don't expect cash in the mail.
