Question

sim card

My daughter has been living in Uganda, Africa for four months and took out her Canadian sim card and replaced it with one from Uganda. She is now ready to head home to Canada, but can't find her Canadian sim card. If she goes to a Koodoo kiosk in Toronto and buys a new sim card will all be fine? Does simply removing and throwing away the African sim card deactivate it??

The SIM card will be active until you purchase the new card and swap SIM cards in your self serve

Depends on the Ugandan carrier requirements, but she should confirm if there are particular steps to cancel. Prepaid service expires when you stop paying; post paid usually continues to generate bills.

If she had a Koodo Prepaid account, it may have expired (they remain valid 120 days from the last payment), and she will need to start over. If postpaid, and bills kept up to date, simply replacing the SIM card will work
