Refer A Friend Denial


My husband and I purchased new iPhone SEs on October 1, 2017 from the Mobile Shop.  Before our purchase we received a referral to Koodo from my husband's sister, for both of us.  We accepted the referral prior to purchasing and activating the phones.  After activation, we both submitted our phone numbers to complete the referral process.  A few days ago my referral credit was rejected.  My husband's referral credit was accepted yesterday, BUT the referrer was listed as someone we do not know (not his sister).  That same person was also listed as the person who referred me (again not my husband's sister).  Obviously, we have two issues: (1) why is someone who did not refer us to Koodo listed as the referrer?  (2) Why was my referral rejected?  I suspect someone is unethically manipulating our referrals.  We are not impressed.  And I when I clicked on the "contact us" link in the e-mail I received rejecting my referral, I can't submit my complaint (an error occurs after I click "Submit").  Can someone assist us please?  Thanks.

Hi Susan,
It sounds strange, as you guys are following the process. So there are couple of things to check:
- Do you still see your friend referral emails? did you see other referral emails from other people?
- What is the name of your friend account? Can you double check it, your friend account could use different names than him/her.
- How many referrals your friend has made this year? I think Koodo limit the amount of it.

Other than that, there is a contact link at referring page: https://referafriend.koodomobile.com/common/contact.pg . I suggest you contact them or calling Koodo 611,or send message to facebook to ask for the detail.

Thanks for replying.  To answer your questions:

1.  Yes, I still have the referral e-mail from my sister-in-law. I did not receive any other referral e-mails.

2.  My friend account is my sister-in-law's account under her name.

3.  My sister-in-law has only made two referrals, to me and my husband.

I've tried contacting the Koodo referral program through the contact page in the past and haven't been able to get a straight answer.  When I called before with some questions about the program, they told me I had to go through the online page.  I'm not sure what to do here, but I'm leaning to moving to another provider.  I really don't have the time to deal with these issues.

If it is as you stated, it is a $25 credit, that was somehow abused by someone, potentially a Koodo insider or a hacker. I would call Koodo and ask the agent to escalate to manager or at a level that can solve the problem properly.
