Purchased ALL40 add on, received txt saying it was active. Then txt saying no roaming?


I have purchased the international data, txt and calling add on and received confirmation that my add on was active. I just arrived in the United States and received a txt saying I do not have a roaming add on? Any reason why I am getting this message if I have already received confirmation my add on is active? Any chance this was just a mistake and my roaming is okay?

Hi Sarah - is this for the phone number ending in 83? If so, it looks like you may have purchased the international roaming package by mistake, instead of our U.S. plan.  Please send us a private message via Facebook (you can use the Facebook icon at the bottom of this page, and then select 'Send a Message' on our page). A rep will authenticate you as the account owner and get this corrected.

hi sorry, I should have clarified. International plan is what I am looking for, I travelling from Toronto To shanghai. I see you have plans for the U.S. my mistake, I assume I'd have to purchase that plan, but considering I am only a 5 hour transit I can go without roaming here. When I turn my phone on in shanghai will I be good to go with the add on I have purchased?

Gotcha. In that case, it looks like you're all set! I see the international roaming package on your account, as well as Intl. data roaming, voice roaming, and the pay-per-use long distance add-on - all of which you need for things to go smoothly. You may need to reboot your phone, but otherwise it should work fine once you arrive. Should you run into any issues while there, try to find a WiFi spot and shoot us a message back here.

You also may need to go into your settings under data usage and turn on roaming data to be able to use your data while travelling.

To do that open Settings and tap Cellular, or Cellular Data, or Mobile Data. Tap Cellular Data Options and make sure that Data Roaming is on.
