Cameron, I have been charged 200 dollar for the call that I have a WEBEX meeting. I am shocked. My long distance was locked and now I see charge for that!

I don't know how many minutes you've got in your plan.  Was your webex meeting a local or long distance call? If local, check to see if you went over your minutes.  If long distance, maybe you don't have the feature for this.

It shows Mountain View
What should I do?

My long distance was blocked before and It is the first time that happens to me.

So it was a long distance call.  No error here on Koodo's part, you made the call using your phone. They have a long distance saver feature you can use for next time if you're going to be using your phone to attend these calls.  You could have paid 5 cents/minute with the long distance saver instead of paying 50 cents/minute.  It's only $3 a month for it

Or $10 per month for unlimited long distance to USA.

I had received the e-bill which I had query with the partial charge $10.67 shown on it.

I had brought the phone from you on Dec 28,16. May I know this partial charge is tab charge for the period of Dec 28 - Jan 5??? If so, may I understand the balance tab charge will be $204.33 if I pay out on/abt. Mar 28.

After the total tab charge paid ($360.00), the monthly fee will be changed to $40.00 plus tax.

Please confirm. Thank you.

There should be a description for what the $10.67 partial charge is for

If it is your first bill, then the cost would be coming from proration. Take a look at this video here:

The said partial charge stated underneath "Your Koodo Tab" heading. Beyond this $10.67, there is also state $15.00 tab charge for Jan 6 - Feb 5. Thus I guessed it is the partial payment for the tab (Dec 28 - Jan 5).

For your information when I signed up the agreement with your booth on Dec 28, I can pay out the balance tab fee after 3 months (if my understanding is correct, the balance should be $204.33 as the agreed tab fee is $360.00).

After pay all the balance tab fee, my monthly fee will be changed to $40.00 + tax.

Your earliest & concreted response is appreciated.

You realize that this forum is populated by other Koodo customers who have no access to your account, right?

Your Webex call likely used voice and data. A review of your PDF bill will clearly outline what the charges were for. Even calls to a 1-800 number use minutes to make the connection, and the video side uses data. Unless you have a plan with sufficient allowances on either side, you could attract fees for using the device for such a purpose.  A description of your plan would help folks make a reasonable assessment of what might have happened.

Hi Narges - looking at your account I see 4 separate calls to Mountainview, CA, as you confirmed. Since you don't have a long distance saver plan, you were charged the pay-per use rate for these. If you make these type of calls often, it would be worthwhile to get the $10/mth unltd. U.S. calling add-on, as Cameron suggested, so you can avoid such charges in the future.

As for the 'long distance block' you referenced, you can prevent international calls by remove the pay-per-use intl. calling feature from your account, but there isn't such an option for the U.S.

If it was a long distance call I should be notified .btw my account was locked 3 years ago for long distance. I can not be charged without warning! Could you tell me where are your agents on the call? And how the hell I should know I am being charged for webex meeting?

Did you dial the 1 or +1 before the other 10 digits? Then you knew it was a long distance call. Did you know you were calling Mountainview California? If so, you knew that your Canada-wide calling would not cover it.
It is not Koodo's responsibility to hold your hand every step of the way, and prevent you making calls to those you choose to phone. Most customers would have a greater problem about having to take special steps to make a call to North American numbers, so Koodo has made it easy for them. The calling options are there for you to have  a much lessened cost. You need to stay aware and not assume.

To echo David's comment, Narges - when placing the call it would have required you to either add a 1/+1 at the beginning, and if you didn't, it would have stated that "this is a long distance call and charges may apply", or something to that effect.

Also, looking at your account, I see a call disputing long distance charges for a call made to the U.S., but nothing was 'locked', as you say.

$200 is a bitter pill to swallow but you did make the call.  When you dial long distance without the area code in the US, a recording does tell you to stay on the line and that long distance charges applies.   Hopefully that rings a bell.  Maybe try asking the company you work to pay for it, or maybe half of it and whoever is hosting these webex meetings, ask them for a 800# you can dial instead of dialing directly.
