I bought a new prepaid sim for my koodo phone today, i just activated it online and everything. But my phone keeps saying "no service" and will not even let me call *611 for help..

Has your iPhone ever been activated with Koodo? Was it with another provider before?

It can some time for it to become active after activating it, you can try to remove it and the battery from your device (if the battery is removable) and them replace them and try it again. *edit - just seen it's an iPhone so the battery isn't removable sorry*
Make sure the phone isn't set to 2g or gsm only in the settings and that it's not in airplane mode as well.

Just reboot the phone.
