porting number to new carrier/making someone else account owner


My work says they will port my number to their business account (with rogers) and pay anything outstanding and cancel my account.  They need to do it all themselves, so do i just make them (the office manager) the owner and she can call in and do all that is needed?  What do i need to make her the owner?

Hello there,

You don't need to make her the owner. Porting the account will automatically close your Koodo account. A transfer of ownership is not needed. Once your account is closed, just show them the final bill so they can pay any outstanding balance and fees.

No I can't port the number they have to do that, so she would need to be made the owner correct? As only owners can port numbers right?

but can the owner of the new Rogers Account (Lailah's Office Manager) port over the number that currently belongs to Lailah?  I think that's where confusion may be.

All she needs to do is provide the person doing the port with her account number, pin, and phone number. Rogers should be able to handle the rest.
