Read some other posts and think this is possible but not sure if my request is exactly the same , most talk about creating a new line on an existing koodo account, which is not exactly what I wan't to do, I want to replace the phone number on my existing koodo line with the one I am porting in ..
Basically I just bought a new koodo phone online, when it came to choosing the number it only listed a handful of places in BC .. I picked the closest one to get the order in , then called the webstore to request a number in my area, they said they can add a note with the request .. now I have the phone but the number they gave me is like 600kms away, so anyone non koodo or landline people that call me are calling long distance, at the time the webstore said maybe my area is sold out? How can you have 30 koodo stores in a zone with no local numbers? Anyways, doesn't matter, I have decided to scrap my one telus mobile line and switch it to this phone/line , but I want to keep my local telus number and ditch the Nanaimo number koodo gave me, I am guessing this is considered a port of sorts still? Is this do-able through self serve or do I have to call in? Just to don't want to mess up the procedure ..
