No Service - Certified Pre-Owned iPhone 7

I just recently got a certified pre-owned iPhone 7 that I ordered online. I put my current SIM card in the phone and it seemed to be working fine. After a day or so, I noticed I frequently have no service in areas that my brother (who is also on the Koodo Network) does have service. I also have not been able to send picture messages even though my mms is activated. What can I do about this?
