new iPhone 4 with piloted number won't get service.


So I got a new iPhone 4 from koodo today. i got my phone number from rogers transferred onto my new SIM, however it's been over 5 hours since i got my phone and i am still unable to connect to any koodo network at all. I've tried restarting and reseting my phone, but it still won't connect. is there anyway of fixing this?

An iPhone 4? Don't you mean a 4S? I didn't think they still had any.

Rep should have had it tested in store before you left. Even then, with a # in mid port it'll show your phone # to someone else when you call out but not in (will go to old phone).

First make sure you have 3G enabled in settings. Should be under cellular or general somewhere. Without 3G on, your iPhone is an iPod touch.

The try toggling airplane mode in the settings on/off (but it needs to stay off for you to use the phone).

yes i mean iPhone 4s. the rep called koodo and they told him that the network was down and it would be back up by 10pm last night. its been 13 hours since i got this phone and it still won't connect.

Alright then. Did you try anything I just mentioned, though? Another thing to try is going to settings > general > reset > reset network settings. If you still can't get it to work I recommend calling Koodo at 1-866-995-6636 to see if there's an outage or something
yes, i've tried all of that. the rep even called koodo last night. but still nothing.
