Hi Sophie,

There are not any data add-ons available for this. You will just have to pay your overage rate if you need to go over.

also, I'm pretty sure that Koodo doesn't prorate data, seemingly from when I made changes to my account.

So, if you haven't gone over your airtime, prorated backwards, you should be able to change plans and use all the data from that plan

Not worth it if they only need extra data for a month.

sure it is.  Depending on what plan he has now, if he upgrades (or downgrades) to a plan that has a full gig, he'll get a whole 1,2 or 2 gigs, paying only a portion of $10, whereas going over is going to cost him $5/250mb.  so $20 vs around $5

Again, like I said, it wouldn't be worth it. $5-10 constantly until they cancel, not just once. Your logic is failed. Second, there are many $45 plans with various overages rates so even you assuming is incorrwct. Also, More than likely they have a grandfathered plan and isn't going to switch away from it cause they won't be able to switch back. What I said stands. Going over once in a month is not worth a complete plan change. 🙂

ah ok.  makes sense what you say.  My idea only works if you're on an off-the-shelf plan
