My iPhone 5 is saying no service

I just updated my carrier from Telus to Koodo. I have a factory unlocked iPhone 5. I put in my newly activated sim card and my phone said "no service".

Hmm... try to switch off your iPhone for a minute, take out the SIM again and put it back together again, Charlotte. Got service now?

Sometimes, just time passing will allow your SIM card to fully activate and your iPhone will pick up the signal. Androids don't seem to have this issue..... lol
