My account is cancelled by Koodo, what could I do?


My account is cancelled by Koodo without any notice. Actually, I have a plan with Koodo, in this situation, what could I do? As I have a plan, if I no longer use Koodo since this cancelation, is there any penalty for me? And I'd like to active my account again, do I need to pay any activation fee? Thanks!

What happened is very unfortunate. Could you give us some more information about how your account got cancelled without notice? Are you on prepaid and haven't topped up in the last 90 days or you are on postpaid?

I'm not sure exactly what happened because how I read it, it looks like you have 2 accounts with Koodo? 
My account is postpaid. the situation is that, I set up my new koodo account at the end in Nov. 2016, then I came back in China till at the end of Feb. 2017, in the period, I coudn't make any payment when I was in China, then once i'm back in Toronti, my cell is no service and my account is cancelled already. I tried to call Koodo, the person said I have to wait somebody to contact me. But the person don't know when somebody is calling me, just ask me to wait. So, I don't know what I could do now. And I have only one Koodo account.

Hello Flora, 

Your account has been disabled because you didn't pay your bills. In order to reactivate your account you did the right thing by calling Koodo. Also, did you pay your bill?

Allan, I believe the OP has a post-paid plan, so while her situation parallels the quote you included above, it is not her circumstance.

Flora, you will be charged a late fee of 2%/month of not paying the bill. If you dont receive a call back soon you can contact Koodo via facebook or twitter dm and see the status of the call back that you should be receiving.

I still not yet receive any news from Koodo, nobody contact me so far.

I would suggest calling Koodo again and see if you can get through to someone.

Usually they can't cancel accounts via facebook but maybe they will sort something out for you there. May as well try facebook first!

It's more about settling up her amount owing.  Im not sure when Koodo sends non-payment accounts to collections, but that may have happened.

They sent it real quick even on cancelled accounts. I call them in Oct 2016 about a lost phone and told them to close the account. 3 months later I get a bill from them for $258 for the phone. They said they send the bill to the phone (the one we lost) every month After calling and closing account again I paid the $258 they said it was closed. Now I get another bill for $215 for the phone itself. When I closed it they assured me everything was closed and paid off, now they want more.
