Koodo Tab question!

Okay so I'm very confused about the koodo tab right now! I've had my iPhone 4 for a very long time with koodo on a $20 monthly plan. I want to upgrade to the 6 but I have a  -$70+ tab balance.

So If I pay off the balance, would I be able to get the iPhone 6 but keep the plan that I have now and pay off the new tab monthly? And does that mean I would pay $0 up front in store for the new phone? Hope this makes sense haha

Hi Racquell, If you still have a negative tab balance, then you have to pay it off before getting a new tab. Now, the new tab is only available on the new plans. Meaning, if you want to keep your current plan you will not be able to use the new tab. If you want to buy the new iPhone 6 on a new tab, you will need to select a new plan and pay your negative tab balance before doing the switch.

Hi Mathieu, it's actually the opposite 🙂 New plans are only available with the new Tab. So Racquell can keep her old plan and enjoy the new Tab. The only exception is for the Tab Plus of course, since it needs a Tab Plus plan. Thank you!

Why can't you just switch the tab and the plan without paying out the balance? Would it be so difficult to reconfigure the structure of the current tab to the new system?
oh ok so in other words in order to get the iPhone 6 I have to get a new plan entirely? I thought it never used to be like this!

If you don't use the tab and pay the phone outright then you don't have to choose a new plan and can keep your current one

Hi Racquell, I have good news for you! You can keep your old plan and get the iPhone 6 with the new Tab 🙂 As Mathieu said, you will need to pay off your Tab first. You can then choose the amount to put on the Tab -up to $360- and you would pay the difference for the phone. The Tab will be divided by 24 and that amount will be charged every month on top of your plan, e.g. $360 / 24: $15 + your $20 plan every month.
