Koodo Data Plan option same as what I pay but slightly more data - Why wasn't I notified this plan was an option when I signed up?


Hello - I have been getting charged overage for data for months and just realized there was another plan that is the exact same amount per month with a bit more data. This would have been a great option to know about so I wouldn't have to pay extra on data each month. Why wasn't I made aware of this other plan option for the same price by Koodo, now or when I switched to Koodo several months ago?

The new plans are Tab free plans.  They may not be cheaper than you think

Also it's not Koodo's responsibility to contact each customer everytime new plans are offered. They have a website where these deals are offered, it's up to you to see what may be available to you. If you're constantly paying for data overages that's a good time to check the website and make a change. You can do that yourself too in selfserve.

If Koodo sent out emails every time a new plan came out, there would likely be people on here complaining about all the emails. But like Chad said, you can check the website anytime, and if there is a better plan you can usually switch to it trouble free.
thanks for your replies. i'm new to koodo and wasn't aware it was more hands-off with promoting new plans/offers so now i'll know to check up on the site more for new plans, etc. merci!

I great way to keep in touch with deals is to follow their page on Facebook so that way you can see potential promotions in your news feed :) https://www.facebook.com/Koodo/?fref=ts
