does anyone know when support for the Apple iwatch will be available.

That’s unfortunate. I got one as a gift and I can’t use it with my phone. I’m sure there are others in this position as well.
You can still use it, just the LTE functions just wont be of any use to you.
If you want to use the LTE function you will have to look at plans from either Telus or Bell. You'll probably find though that it's a really big jump in price for what your currently pay.

Exactly! It's more accurate to say that you can't use it *without* your phone.
