ISPware on Koodo iPhone?

Userlevel 1
I've been told that ISPs often put their own apps on phones compared to phone bought direction from OEMs. I want to avoid this to minimize bloatage and the possibility of unwelcome monitoring and/or access of personal information. For those who bought iPhones from Koodo, do you have a sense for how much this applies (or does not apply) to phones from Koodo?

There is no bloat ware at all on any of the iPhones sold by any cell provider as it is not allowed by Apple. Proof: I have owned a number of iPhones from Koodo.

Also if any phones that Koodo sells have any bloatware at all its just their self serve app which is something your going to want anyways so IMO it's not really bloatware.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Al. By the way, just out of curiosity, is this Apple rule documented or reported anywhere? Paul, good point about self-serve app...does this mean that iPhones don't have this?

I don't believe the iPhones have it installed by default but you can install it from the app store free of charge.

I wasn't trying to sound like I was being snide or anything, just letting you know that as the ecosystem of the iPhones and the fact that the only apps that can be downloaded on to them have to be from the App Store that there is no way for carriers to install their own apps as it wouldn't be necessarily verified by Apple nor would any of it be there when the phone is first setup as it has to be tied to an Apple ID first in order to purchase apps.
