I personally think it is a good phone, even if it has been in the market for a long time now, the only thing I see here is the internal memory, probably 8GB is not a lot specially when you are planning to use it mostly for pictures... But for a regular user that is not extremely demanding, I will definitely recommend this phone... For the same price you can be looking at the Nexus 4, better Camera, more space for storage, and excellent for multitasking...

It's ok. There are better phone out there now. You would really be buying it for the Apple environment (App store, iTunes, iCloud, etc)

I wouldn't recommend the iPhone 4. When it was sold for $250 and came with a $100.gift card, it was a fantastic deal. Now, no so much. It may be discontinued as soon as September, when you can expect carriers to start discounting it. Plus iOS 7 is likely the last software update that this phone will receive and it's largely cosmetic. Plus, the performance of the phone is likely to be even worse on iOS 7. Keep in mind that there's no way to roll back to a previous version without some advanced knowledge and precautions and jailbreaking is required. The camera on the phone was excellent for its time and I still use it as a minimum standard of what a smartphone camera should be. 8GB would not meet my needs, but I'll leave that one up to you. Do you have to replace your phone right now or can you wait a few months?

A new iPhone 4 cannot be rolled back to a previous iOS even if you jailbreak. Everytime an OS is installed Apple has to sign it with a signature that is unique to each phone. Apple only signs off on the latest iOS for your iPhone model. The only way is if you backed up the signatures (SHSH Blobs) when that iOS version was current and still being signed by Apple.

Being an iPhone owner, I don't reccomand it because it will be soon be discontinued and the phone is behind his time soon. What I suggest you if you want to remain on the Apple part, is to buy a second-hand iPhone 4S!

I wouldn't be surprised if Koodo brings back the 4S into their lineup after the 4 is discontinued. And if going second-hand, keep in mind that a Telus 4S is identical and therefore fully compatible with Koodo SIM cards.
