iPhone texts are missing and undelivered

We have three iphone 4s we just got from Koodo. My wife and daughter are constantly using the texting. They are finding that half of their text go missing and the other never receives them? Any Idea?

Try restart phone. Also you can try taking SIM out for a min. Hope you will not miss msg again.

If what PD says doesnt work, try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings Note that all wifi passwords will be lost

By change are you using iMessage? and if so do they have data plans? If data is blocked and they're trying to use iMessage it will only work when connected to wifi, messages will sit in limbo otherwise.

Imessage is actually supposed to default to standard texting when there is no data but it hasn't been working right for a lot of people since the update to ios 7.

Well yeah but there's also a toggle which (well I could be wrong) I thought was by default turned off. Either way it's possible to have it switched off and as you said it might not work with with iOS7 anyway.

In case you aren't sure whether they are imessages or not: Green sent message bubbles are standard texts and are delivered by koodo's network Blue sent messages are imessages and koodo never even sees them.
This doesn't have anything to do with iMessage. After comparing history with my girlfriend, who's with Bell, I discovered that a lot of my messages don't get received. My brother, who just recently switched from Fido to Koodo, is also told that some his texts were never delivered to people of all networks.

Since the poster never commented after the original post there is not enough information to determine whether this problem was iphone related or not. It's also been dead for two months. Please don't necro old threads unless you actually have a valid follow up question or a useful solution to a problem.
