Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about: http://i.imgur.com/o4AAKoB.jpg
Ever since I updated to iOS 10 my reception has been horrendous. I always used to get 4-5 dots in my room, but now I only get 2 out of 5 dots at most. Why? Does it have to do with this carrier name in General > About? Is the carrier supposed to have a number after the name like it does for me? Why is it showing like this?
I've always been a Koodo prepaid customer. I've been one since 2015 (during the iOS 9 days) and I never had a single reception issue until 2016-2017. I'm really upset and I think I will switch to Rogers prepaid soon, since I'll pay less and get a better signal to boot.
If an iPhone has bad reception, then battery life suffers. So I simply can't have an iPhone at 2 dots all the time. My battery life has decreased because of Koodo's sudden signal switch! How do I get a better signal? Do I need a new sim card or something? My sim card is from 2015.
Also, my mom's with Koodo but she has an Android phone and she gets FULL SIGNAL (we live in the same house). Koodo seems to be playing very badly with iOS 10/iPhones. I live in Mississauga along Eglinton Avenue West, about 4 km away from Square One Shopping Centre.
