iPhone 5s locked to Telus isn't working with the Koodo SIM card


My iPhone 5s locked to Telus isn't working with the Koodo SIM card. I asked an employee at Best Buy and when she called Telus, they confirmed that it should work on the Koodo network by checking my serial number. I've tried resetting the network settings, but no luck. Someone please help me get service please!

Hmm this is weird. It always worked when I tried. Have you tried another SIM? Close and open cellphone?
I haven't tried another Koodo SIM, but I turned my phone off and on during the process to reset.

The SIM worked on another Koodo phone but it doesn't work on my Telus iPhone

Go to protectyourdata.ca and check the IMEI number to ensure it hasn't been flagged lost or stolen.

I'm the original owner and I registered it under my iCloud account

Thanks, but it's out-dated. It works with my iPhone 4s and the carrier is listed as Koodo 22.0

Are you sure the Koodo sim is working?

I'm out of idea's at this point.  My 5S and 4 were able to switch between Telus and Koodo after updating the carrier settings via itunes

Maybe the Koodo SIM is not working as Dennis has mentioned. You should try with a new SIM card just in case.

Yes, I went to Koodo and one of the employees put my SIM card in his phone and it worked

What happens when the rep tried their sim in your iphone 5s?

I think you need to bring the phone to the apple store.

If it says Koodo but your sim doesnt work in the phone and the employee's sim does not work on the phone.  And you sim works on other phones, then it must be a phone error.  An error could have occured during the carrier setting update

Thanks, I took it to the Apple store and they gave me a new one since I still had warranty
